In spite of Friday’s wet and cold weather,
the Lyttelton community event Adopt
the Joyce St Zig-Zag, saw 20 people turn
up at various points to help.
These included city council staff
and their contractor, Conservation
Volunteers, as well as many individuals
from the community.
The group managed to put all 200
rengarenga in the ground and mulch
them within an hour.
This is only the first stage as the group
plans to make their way up the hill with
native plantings.
