festival.
From 10am – 4.30pm the local charity is presenting a
fun filled day for all the family as they bring some of the
best children’s and family shows to Church Street for a
completely free outdoor theatre experience that you’ll
never forget.
Throughout this special event families can: help create
the pinkiest pink in ‘The Lost Colour’, witness ‘The
Weather Machine’ make magic out of dance and weather,
celebrate classic rave music and nature in ‘Family Bird
Rave Live’, go on a heroic walk about adventure in ‘There
be Monsters’ and for those who love music, they’ll be able
to hear songs about all topics under (and above) the Sun
in ‘Now That’s What I Call A Lot Of Songs About Science’.
Performances start every 30 minutes so bring chairs &
blankets, pack a picnic and spend the whole day with
Citadel Arts. For more information and show times head
to the website www.citadel.org.uk
Chief Executive, Fay Lamb says: “At Citadel Arts we believe
the magic of theatre has the power to change people’s
lives. After what has been such a difficult period for
everyone, we wanted to come back with a bang and
provide the families of St Helens with a fantastic event
with something for everybody. We can’t wait to bring
the magical world of Citadel Arts back to the streets of
St Helens”.
Bouncers
It’s curtains up for Rainhill’s Musical Theatre Company
next weekend as they stage their first performance since
restrictions were lifted. One of the most celebrated plays
of the 20th century, Bouncers, a play that epitomises the
hedonism of Northern nightlife, is set in and around a
nightclub called Mr Cinders.
The action is focused on the exploits of the four doorman
and the nightclub’s customers. Bouncers runs on Friday
10th and Saturday 11th September at Rainhill Village Hall
on Dane Court.
Tickets are £10 and you can book via www.
