string of service station robberies
A man has been charged following
investigations into three armed robberies
at local service stations.
It is alleged about 8.15pm on Saturday,
September 18, a man entered a service
station on Clyde Street, South Granville,
armed with a large kitchen knife.
He demanded money from the
employee, which he then stole and ran
from the store.
About 9.30am on Sunday, September
19, and again on Monday, September
20, about 11.55am, a man matching
the same description entered a service
station on Blaxcell Street, Granville.
On both occasions he was armed with
a kitchen knife and threatened staff
members before running from the location
with an amount of cash.
Fortunately, no one was injured during
the robberies.
