The winners, a report andpictures can be found on P10 & P11. Upcomingcommunity events include 'A Woodland OpenEvening' on 1st October, and an 'EXPO', on20th November, both organised by theP&TGRS, see P5 for details.As the various Covid related restrictions ease,and our various Clubs and Societies are able toplan programmes of events and activities, thereis an increased need for volunteers. If you areinterested in volunteering, you may wish tovolunteer for the various work parties whichwill take place during the autumn. Theseinclude Pond Clearing (see P7 for details),Common Wood working parties (see P19 fordetails), and Litter picking (see P6 for details),or perhaps you could spare some time to be aVillage Care telephonist? A number of clubs,Societies and organisations are looking for help.The P&TGRS is working on a relaunch oftheir website, and would welcome support.Perhaps you have an interest in Planning? TheP&TGRS is also looking for someone to jointhe Planning Committee. See P4 for details.Having successfully staged the 2021 Show,the 2022 Village Show team would welcomenew volunteers, so too would the Scouts.Further afield, the Hazlemere Fete Committe arelooking for additional volunteers, for assistancein planning for the 2022 Fete.Finally, Village Voice was saddened to learnof the death of Eddie Morton. On P17, MilesGreen has written a poignant tribute to Eddie,who died in August. Eddie was an outstandingwww.pennandtylersgreen.org.ukVillage Voice October/November 2021photographer. He worked closely with MilesGreen for many years to create illustrations forlocal history publications, VV articles, andpresentations. He generously shared hisphotographs with Village Voice to illustratefeatures, and Village events for over 20 years.He will be sadly missed.
