of Christmas spirit!<br />

<strong>Lichfield</strong> Christmas Fayre is back this year on Sunday 21st <strong>November</strong><br />

from 10am until 4pm. It’s located, as usual, on Market Square with a<br />

lovely Christmas Market and this year the organiser has added a market<br />

not only <strong>in</strong>side The Hub at St Mary’s Church, but also The Guildhall too!<br />

It means, should it get a little cold, visitors can go <strong>in</strong>side for a warm<br />

whilst admir<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>in</strong>side of two absolutely stunn<strong>in</strong>g build<strong>in</strong>gs that are<br />

part of <strong>Lichfield</strong>’s great heritage.<br />

Expect to f<strong>in</strong>d a large traditional Christmas market with beautiful<br />

handmade gifts, tasty food, dr<strong>in</strong>ks and charitable stalls. The likes of<br />

award-w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g English Indian, Melbourne Coffee, Fifth Spire G<strong>in</strong>,<br />

Hunnypot Cottage Bakery, Pom’s Kitchen & Deli, and Brockleby’s Pies<br />

are just a few of the food and dr<strong>in</strong>k offer<strong>in</strong>gs that can be found.<br />

There will be lots of fantastic festive enterta<strong>in</strong>ment <strong>in</strong> the streets too<br />

with such names as <strong>Lichfield</strong> Rock Choir, The Salvation Army Band,<br />

Great Wyrley Community Band and, of course, we can’t have an event<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>Lichfield</strong> without a Morris dancer or two!<br />

The talented Jordan Adams will be perform<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>side The Guildhall<br />

from 12 noon. Jordan is a familiar face <strong>in</strong> <strong>Lichfield</strong> hav<strong>in</strong>g been featured<br />

as the lead <strong>in</strong> four musical runs at the <strong>Lichfield</strong> Garrick Theatre and with<br />

four s<strong>in</strong>gle releases, one which was chosen as an official song <strong>in</strong> aid of<br />

NSPCC.<br />

<strong>Lichfield</strong>'s Big Red Bike will also be offer<strong>in</strong>g free short trips to<br />

<strong>Lichfield</strong> Cathedral dur<strong>in</strong>g the event. This is a volunteer run charitable<br />

organisation which help adults with limited mobility get out and about,<br />

so why not treat yourself to a trishaw ride experience?<br />

For the kids, there’s go<strong>in</strong>g to be a small fair ride and bungees however<br />

there are also two very naughty Christmas elves threaten<strong>in</strong>g to cause<br />

chaos on the day, and the organisers are appeal<strong>in</strong>g for help from all the<br />

local children to keep them under control! Please refra<strong>in</strong> from feed<strong>in</strong>g<br />

them sweets because… anyth<strong>in</strong>g could happen!<br />

Lizzy Bra<strong>in</strong>e, Event Organiser, says: “We are so excited that <strong>Lichfield</strong><br />

Christmas Fayre is back this year! Everyone needs a good, fun<br />

Christmas after the last couple of years and so this year we are go<strong>in</strong>g<br />

for it! There’s a little someth<strong>in</strong>g for everyone and it’s just such a lovely<br />

family event. It’s free to come so why not br<strong>in</strong>g your friends and family<br />

to kick off <strong>Lichfield</strong>'s festive season?”<br />

<strong>Lichfield</strong> Christmas Fayre has been lov<strong>in</strong>gly organised for over 50 years by<br />

<strong>Lichfield</strong> Chamber of Trade & Commerce. The plan each year is to create<br />

footfall <strong>in</strong> the city centre so the bars, restaurants as well as shops benefit.<br />
