GOOD TO see the final stage
of the Coastal Pathway is
about to get under way (see
page 1).
The final section, which
starts on November 15,
will run from the east end
of Redcliffs village around
Moncks Bay to Shag Rock. It is
expected to be finished in
mid 2023.
Initial work will focus
around the area between
Wakatu Ave and the
Christchurch Yacht Club.
After the busy summer season,
disruptive work around
Moncks Bay will start, which
is likely to mean road closures
at night and down to one lane
news
during the day.
The Coastal Pathway is a
great asset to the community,
wide enough to run, walk and
skateboard without getting in
other people’s way.
It’s taking time to finish, but
it will be worth it.
