In December 2021, eligible
households in Greenwood Village
experienced a change in their trash
provider from Republic Services to
Waste Connections.
TRASH
Your Trash and Recycle
Services with Waste
Connections Include:
• Each single-family
residential household is
provided a 95-gallon trash
container, free of charge.
• Each single-family
residential household is
provided a 95-gallon
recycle container, free of
charge; Residents may request one
additional recycling container from
Waste Connections, free of charge,
if one container does not
accommodate their recycling needs.
RECYCLING
• Residents may use their own trash
containers and place an unlimited
number of additional bags out for
collection.
• Smaller containers may be more
easily stored in your garage.
Residents may request a smaller,
65-gallon recycle container from
Waste Connections.
• Waste Connections offers a
carryout service for any residents
who may be physically unable to
move their solid waste and/or
recyclables to the collection area.
To accomplish this, the trash and
recycle bins must be accessible to
the collection driver and cannot be
retrieved behind fences, in
backyards, or in garages. Collection
drivers will retrieve the waste and
recyclables in the accessible area,
empty them into the collection
vehicle, and return the bin to the
original area. GV

To protect the aesthetics of Village neighborhoods and the overall community, the Municipal Code
(7-2-210) regulates the placement and storage of trash and recycling containers in Greenwood Village.
