TT - What is it like navigating the creative
world while also being a regular
teenager?
KV - Personally, I find that the lifestyle
that I’ve chosen is very exciting and
I love the environment that is always
changing. I’m always looking for new
things to try and this kind of thing really
helps keep things new and interesting.
I have however found balancing
this with my personal life has been very
difficult and stressful at times because I
not only have so much going on in one
life but school and extracurricular activities
are extremely demanding as a
senior student/athlete. Trying to get all
my school work done and arriving to
practice on time is sometimes impossible
with everything else that has been
scheduled. As I am still relatively new to
this industry I’m still in the process of
learning how to keep myself organized
and there have been many nights where
the work caught up and I needed to stay
up all night just to get my next day prepared.
Overall even though it is hard at
times I love the opportunities and don’t
regret a thing.
TT - What do you do to stay motivated
and keep going, especially during this difficult
time?
KV - I find that motivation comes from
every little victory I can find. Every inch
of progress encourages me to strive for
the next one. This ties directly to the optimism
that I need to have to find these
little victories. The opportunities that
arise, no matter how small or insignificant
they may seem, I choose to look at
them as they’re own little wins and coming
one more step closer to success. This
always feeds the fire and helps me come
up with new ideas and inspires me to
jump on new possibilities everytime they
come around.
