Whether it’s a game of cricket,
BBQ or day out with the
family, we all have our ways of
celebrating what makes us Australian on
January 26.
Whilst this year’s events are slightly
more restricted due to COVID-19, there’s
still plenty of things to see and do across
Greater Western Sydney that’s bound to
get you in the Aussie Day spirit, whilst
keeping the whole family entertained.
So grab your esky, zinc and a pair of
thongs for our top five things to do in
western Sydney on Australia Day.
Get up close and personal with our
native wildlife
What better way to celebrate what makes
us Australian than to explore our unique
and magnificent native creatures.
The Sydney Zoo at Bungarribee is a great
day out for families, couples, friends and
the like.
Here you can see a huge range of our
native furry friends like koalas and wallabies
or the not so cuddly such as echidnas,
spiders and reptiles.
Pack a picnic lunch or enjoy the Tiger
Pool Cafe or Lion Deck Cafe.
There’s also loads of exotic animals from
Africa and Asia to see.
If you’re wanting to get a bit more up
close and personal, Featherdale Sydney
Wildlife Park specialises in Australian
native wildlife and birds.
