Dean’s Corporate Council<br />

<strong>The</strong> Dean’s Corporate Council provides primary interactions between leaders in academia and corporate entities<br />

and addresses the challenges and opportunities of health care in the 21st century. <strong>The</strong> primary purpose of the<br />

Council is to advise and counsel with the Dean and College administration on broad matters of policy, planning<br />

and resource development at the College. Members serve as external reviewers and are involved in specific tasks<br />

and important projects with the Dean, College Faculty, and Council members. <strong>The</strong> Council is composed of 25-30<br />

leaders from small and large companies throughout the country. <strong>The</strong>y are eng<strong>age</strong>d in pharmaceutical research and<br />

manufacturing, man<strong>age</strong>d care, independent pharmacy, consulting, and chain pharmacy. Prior educational<br />

affiliation with <strong>The</strong> <strong>Ohio</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> is not a condition of Council membership. <strong>The</strong> term of membership is<br />

two years and members may be reappointed for two additional consecutive terms. <strong>The</strong> Council annually elects its<br />

Chair and the Council meets as a body twice each year. Additional meetings may be held at the request of either<br />

the Chair of the Council or the Dean.<br />
