Mapperley & District u3a is one of a UK-wide
collection of locally-run interest groups that
provide opportunities for those no longer in fulltime
work to come together to learn, live and laugh
whilst exploring new ideas, skills and interests.
Keeping active and social is absolutely critical to a
happy and healthy life.
Every u3a has a variety of interest groups. Some of
these are study groups such as learning a language.
Other popular topics include family history, local
history, various aspects of literature, music, film and
theatre to name but a few. Popular creative groups
include writing, photography and crafts. Gardening
and walking are firm favourites. You can even start
your own group.
In addition to monthly gatherings with a speaker,
organised trips, visits and meals out are much more
fun with a group of u3a friends and are arranged at
affordable rates.
Make the most of life and join one of the 34 u3as in
Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, including five in
Gedling Borough.
