Amendment 20 was withdrawn and new Amendment 34 was put up in its place and it quickly restored some of the original content of the bill that COS supported. A new version of HB1134 passed and will be going to the Senate floor for a vote. It ended up much better than it would have been with amendment 20, but was not quite as good as we had hoped. HB1041 – passed. Gender definition in sports defines that a male at birth cannot participate in women's sports in Indiana. Marty encourages everyone to build strong relationships with their legislators.
ONE NATION UNDER GOD Aspirational Goal: To bring a Political and Spiritual Awakening to America. PRAYING FOR PEACE AND OUR FUTURE Lately, we’ve reached beyond the 50% mark – 18 of 34 states have applied to get the Convention of States scheduled. The plan that Michael Farris originally started and so many others have joined is coming closer to fruition every day. We aren’t there yet, but we know that our goal is good. We are praying about it and working on it for worthy reasons – not for evil. No one in COS is doing this for personal gain, or for more power – we are doing it for freedom. Our desire is for all to recognize that freedoms come from God, not from government, and to return the US to the basic freedoms we were given. Our forefathers started this country by praying to the Lord for wisdom and success, just like we do, and He granted that to the United States. Americans have achieved much – saved millions from evil forces, produced food that feeds millions around the world, and devised new methods and technology that help millions rise above the poverty they were born into. Let’s remember that when America is free, the rest of the world looks at us as that shining beacon on the hill. They see our freedom, our success, our generosity, and our reverence for God. It makes them want the same things, and brings glory to Him. We know what scripture says in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” I think we are seeing that unfold. Let’s keep praying and honoring God and watch what He will do in the United States. Join with our powerful Convention of States family in giving thanks, and wishing a blessed new year of health, peace and joy for everyone.
