JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
BREAKS GROUND
IN VILLAGE
On March 11, Junior Achievement –
Rocky Mountain broke ground on their
new JA Free Enterprise Center in
Greenwood Village. This educational
facility will bring innovative, real world,
and inspirational learning experiences to
students.
The new JA Free Enterprise Center will
allow an additional 20,000 students
annually to have a hands-on, real world
educational experience designed to build
skills in financial literacy, and help students discover how
their passions, skills and interests align with career
opportunities, and understand the value of an entrepreneurial
mindset.
For more information about the JA Free Enterprise Center,
please contact Junior Achievement – Rocky Mountain
President & CEO Robin Wise, at: RWise@JAColorado.org.
BE A RESPONSIBLE
DOG OWNER
I want to remind dog owners of some
simple rules and Village laws. There
are no off-leash parks in Greenwood
Village. Pet owners are required to
follow the Village leash law requiring
all dogs to be secured with a pet leash
in Greenwood Village public areas. It
is illegal for pet owners to leave their
pet waste on public property. Leaving
your pet’s waste in the grass or on the
trail is not only discourteous, but is
harmful to public health and the
environment. Trash receptacles are
provided in all Village parks and along
trails. If there is no trash receptacle
nearby, keep a bag with you and
dispose of the waste when you get
home.
For more information or if you have any questions on these
and other animal issues in Greenwood Village, please call the
Police Department at 303-773-2525. You may request a copy
of the Police Department’s “Guide to Your Dog’s Safety and
Being a Good Dog Owner” brochure. This helpful guide
covers all areas of good dog ownership related to safety, rules
and laws, and resources.
