Feature etSkilletbrowniewithalmondflakesPerfectly paired flavors feature in these gorgeous browniesthat are at once fluffy and moist(Makes 6 squares)IngredientsBrownies1/4 cup unsalted butter2 ounces chocolate chips1/3 cup sugar1 large egg1 sachet vanillaPinch salt1/8 cup flour2 tbsp unsweetened cocoaEasy chocolate sauce1 small carton whipping cream (200 ml)6 bars milk chocolate (Galaxy is perfect), brokeninto small pieces1tbsp cocoa•To make the brownies, preheat oven and line sides of asmall baking tin with greaseproof paper.•Melt butter and chopped chocolate in a mediumsaucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes.Pour into a mixing bowl and allow to cool completely.•Whisk sugar into the cooled chocolate/butter mixturethen add eggs and vanilla. Whisk until fluffy. Gently foldin the salt, flour, and cocoa powder. Pour batter into theprepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until thebrownies begin to pull away from the edges of the pan anda toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Leaveto cool.•For chocolate sauce, pour cream into skillet, add cocoaand slowly bring to a boil, stirring constantly.•Take skillet off heat and add chocolate pieces, stirringvigorously until melted.•Remove 5/6 of the sauce and store in a glass container.•Place a brownie square in the middle of the skillet,then garnish with almond flakes.•Add a dollop of vanilla ice cream and serve immediately.FEBRUARY-MARCH 202259
