Spring has sprung in the Library! Call in and have a
browse. Not a member? For adult membership bring in an
official document showing your current address if you live
in Nottinghamshire, or proof of work address if you just
work in the County.
Our children’s area has been brightened up with a vibrant
wall display to which our younger visitors can add their
pictures of birds, flowers and animals.
What would you do if you were Queen? Or King? Make
every Monday a Bank Holiday? Have a cup of tea brought
to you in bed on a Saturday morning? Pop your thoughts
on a ‘crown’ and add to our Jubilee display during May
ahead of the official celebrations in June.
The volunteer-led Wednesday Singalong for under 5’s
continues fortnightly, with sessions coming up on 25th
May, 8th and 22nd June from 10.30-11am (N.B. no
session on 11th May). Just bring yourselves, the children
and your enthusiasm for a lively half-hour. All welcome!
Don’t forget our ‘Jigsaw Join-In’ when you’re passing. We
always have one on the go and it’s a 1,000 piece one at the
moment – we need all the help we can get!
Thank you to everyone who has brought in clean plastic
bottle tops to re-cycle and raise funds for the John
Eastwood hospice. We are still collecting, so keep them
coming
