PROGRESSIVE DINNER OVERVIEW
A BIG THANK YOU to my hubby for checking off all the important
‘honey-do’s’ I put on his list. Gary told me Pam had a long list for
him as well so I’m glad they were brothers in the same boat.
I was so grateful that the weatherman predicated cooler
weather and it was a beautiful day with a high of only 88. That
certainly beats the 100-degree weather I’m sure we will start
getting very soon.
Even though it took a long time to prepare for this event it was
very rewarding and I hope everyone had a great time.
If for some reason you left hungry I don’t think we were at the
same party. We had a blast and I do hope others will volunteer
to host it next year. I’d love to see this event continue as an
annual event like it used to be.
We began at our house (Sons’) where we bellied up to an
enormous salad bar and enjoyed shrimp cocktails and
appetizers. I even that Mike Lebda and David found something
they could possibly enjoy to eat. My daughter Jen can over and
she took pictures of everyone as they arrived. Later I had them
1-hour developed and handed them out at the 3 rd stop. We
played human poker and everyone picked a random playing
card when they arrived. As people mingled they were able to
find the highest poker hand. The winners were (Keith, Patrick,
LeighAnn, Rachael & Gail) with a Straight Flush.
After an hour or so everyone started to their Vehicles to follow
Gary to the next stop. However, I think Gary must have thought
he was still in Nevada on his road race because he was gone in
a flash and not much time to catch up. *Note to Gary….. On a
lead run our club members follow more at a 30 MPH pace not
