Music Concerts Live Music at Thorington Theatre, 5 & 12 June Thorington, Saxmundham, Suffolk Nothing quite matches the location of Thorington Theatre. Located deep in the Suffolk forest, a wooden amphitheatre hosts a number of productions throughout the summer months. Two dates this June are dedicated to the music listened to while the structure was built. One of the most played artists during the build was the Alabama 3. They’ll take to the stage on 5 June to play their own narco-acoustic slant on their current recordings, back catalogue of hits, and the music that inspired them along the way. The legendary Ibiza brand will bring thousands of dance music fans together for an unforgettable experience under the stars as they relive the massive tunes that provided the soundtrack to generations of Ibiza adventures. Serving up the classics are some of the biggest DJs in dance music: Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, a huge special guest to be announced, and Mambo resident Andy Baxter. lphconcerts.co.uk Strawberries & Creem, 17-19 June Childerley Orchard, Cambridge After announcing themselves as a major new force on the UK weekend festival scene last year, Strawberries & Creem returns bigger and better for <strong>2022</strong> unleashing a stellar, one-of-a-kind line-up for their return. A three-day event, the festival will be joined by Lil Wayne. After a 14-year hiatus this will be his only Europe show. Other artists taking to the stage include R&B singer and songwriter Ella Mai, Mabel and upcoming producer Tems. The festival pulls in the crowds with its mix of everything from drum and bass, hip hop, dance reggae and more. strawberriesandcreem.com Elvis Tribute Nights at Stonham Barns Park, 24 June & 19 August Stonham Aspal, Stowmarket, Suffolk A series of tribute nights at Stonham Barns Park are coming up for summer months. The good time, feel-good nights will include a much-acclaimed Elvis Tribute. Andy Ottley has earned a reputation as one of the busiest Elvis tribute artists in East Anglia having performed professionally now for five years touring theatres, hotels and clubs. stonhambarns.co.uk Paul Weller <strong>Summer</strong> Show, 30 July Bedford Park, Bedfordshire British music icon, Paul Weller will be touring this summer, bringing his well-known hits to Bedford Park. The former frontman of The Jam will be supported by Richard Hawley who is widely recognized as one of the UK’s foremost songwriters. bedfordparkconcerts.co.uk/events/paul-weller Queen Symphonic Spectacular <strong>Summer</strong> Show, 6 August Hatfield Park, Hertfordshire Star performers from the smash-hit London West End production ‘We Will Rock You’ will take to the stage at Hatfield Park, as part of a rock and orchestral spectacular celebrating the music of Queen. Queen Symphonic will entertain the crowds with one of the biggest rock shows they are ever likely to experience. Over 60 performers will be on stage, with the ‘We Will Rock You’ star singers backed by a full rock band together with The Heart of England Orchestra. This outdoor show will be an unmissable date on the summer calendar with friends and families enjoying picnics in the park, while singing and dancing along to classic Queen hits. lphconcertsandevents.co.uk Rock at the Castle, 7 August Hertford Castle, Hertfordshire Bringing together local bands and artists, the Castle will once again host a day of music to see you through a summer Sunday. To date, the event has raised over £50,000 for local charities. hertford.gov.uk/events Classic Ibiza, 20 August Hatfield House, Hertfordshire Classic Ibiza, an open-air orchestral celebration of White Isle-inspired house music, has once again partnered with Isabel Hospice for its much-awaited return to Hatfield House. With the show due to sell-out, and with the concert organisers increasing their charitable donation by 150%, it is hoped that considerable funds will be raised for this extremely worthy local charity. Classic Ibiza starts with a ‘Chill-Out DJ Set’ performed by Rich Seam, who has played everywhere from the original warehouse parties to Ministry of Sound and Glastonbury.
