Norfolk<br />

For a special railway experience, hop aboard the vintage<br />

Poppy Line from Sheringham to Holt. Chug through the<br />

stunning North Norfolk countryside on the puffing steam<br />

train. The stations provide a glimpse into rail life in the 1800s<br />

and several historic themed events are held throughout the<br />

year.<br />

Combine city and coast during your Norfolk getaway with<br />

a rail trip from Norwich to either Cromer, Sheringham or<br />

Great Yarmouth. The city is suitable for families and couples<br />

thanks to its many attractions, castle adventure, thriving arts<br />

scene, shopping opportunities and ever-growing indie food<br />

offerings. The connecting coastal towns are each famed<br />

for their seaside charm with long stretches of beach, lively<br />

attractions, and foodie delights including traditional. fish<br />

and chips, tearooms, street food and, of course, plenty of<br />

fresh shellfish.<br />

Greater Anglia services from Norwich, through the Norfolk<br />

Broads to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth (via Reedham and<br />

With boat hire, pubs on the water’s edge, activities and<br />

Catch the train from Norwich to Wroxham and pick up a<br />

day boat. Make your way to Salhouse Broad to soak up the<br />

surrounding nature before continuing to Horning for a spot<br />

of lunch at one of the waterside pubs. Nearby Cockshoot<br />

Broad is a popular choice for fishing. Spend the afternoon<br />

slowly cruising your way back to Wroxham before hopping<br />

on the train home.<br />

Greater Anglia’s Bittern line, which runs through the<br />

northern part of the Norfolk Broads between Norwich,<br />

Hoveton and Wroxham and North Walsham to Cromer<br />
