Maui Waui Festival of Music and Performing Arts,
25-28 August
Hill Farm, near Dereham, Norfolk
Returning for its ninth year, this event is one of the most
diverse and creative festivals in the region. The festival
has six stages and provides four nights and three days of
entertainment including 80’s ska legends Bad Manners,
New Zealand meets Dutch Prodigy My Baby, Zimbabwe’s
Accappella choir and dance group, Black Umfolosi, plus
Dub Pistols meet Freestylers for a legendry back-to-back
DJ set. More than 100 bands are set to take the stage, and
this year sees the addition of a freshly built Pirate Ship Mk
II – a wooden replica of a pirate ship complete with smokefiring
canons, sails and pyrotechnics that will make the DJ
area go with a bang! Sunday is dedicated to an Americana
theme with a special stage hosting some of the country’s
leading performers of country, blues, bluegrass and
American folk music. Without a doubt, this is the place to be
on August Bank holiday weekend!

Shuttleworth Fly Days, May to October

Shuttleworth is bringing the skies to life this summer with a
programme of events. With vintage vehicles on the ground
and aeroplanes in the sky, there are multiple themed
events each month to keep the whole family entertained.
Highlights include the show-stopping Jubilee Flying Circus
Air Show on 5 June and Flying Proms complete with a
spectacular air display and wonderful live music from a
full symphony orchestra on 7 August – to name a few!

IWM Duxford Air Shows,
18-19 June & 10-11 September
IWM Duxford’s flying season brings the historic airfield
to life and, this year, a jam-packed programme of events
promises plenty of thrilling aerobatics, roaring Spitfires and
entertainment on the ground. The Duxford Summer Air
Show will be taking place on 18-19 June promising fun
for all the family with fast-flying, all-action aerobatics and
spectacular sights in the air and on the ground. The annual
Battle of Britain Air Show will return on 10-11 September
offering visitors an immersion into the 1940s when RAF
Duxford played a pivotal role in the Battle of Britain, helping
to defend the United Kingdom against Nazi air attacks.
Expect plenty of Spitfire nostalgia as history is brought to
life across the site for this much-loved weekend of flying
entertainment.
In addition, the IWM Duxford Air Show team will also
be welcoming visitors to its Duxford Flying Evening on
27 August to catch spectacular aircraft in flight as dusk
descends over the airfield. Whilst Duxford Flying Finale on
8 October will bring together highlights from the year as we
say farewell to another fantastic season of flying.

Celebrating 29 years of flying, an impressive aerobatic
display in the skies above the seafront and west
