In this issue...
Inflation is up and I am sure the finishing industry knows this better than anyone. With
fuel costs having risen exponentially, the energy hungry finishing industry is bearing a
heavy price. It would be interesting to get some feedback as to whether these costs can
be passed on to customers or are companies having to suck up the increased costs? I
imagine it is a bit of both in order to stay in business. Also are companies embracing
energy efficient solutions to counter these rising costs?
We do have some good news stories in this issue, with Carlisle Fluid Technologies
opening a new training centre and the CBA’s annual lunch returning. I’m not so sure
that these are the green shoots of recovery, but it does show that life might be getting
back to normal and that people are now interacting again.
