Indian Bread<br />

Ingredients:<br />

1/4 cup melted shortening 3 cups flour<br />

2 tbsp baking powder ½ tsp salt<br />

about 1 C. water<br />

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add enough water to<br />

make a dough that is not too dry or sticky.<br />

Heat the shortening. Add the dough, pat down flat and cook on<br />

both sides until done - about 25 minutes.<br />

Note: The bread can be baked in an oven at 400 degrees F. Bake in<br />

an 8x8x2 pan.<br />
