powering large

enterprises or little

mobile phones,

electricity has become an

essential element of our daily

lives. In fact, there has never

been such a high degree

of demand for utilities as

there is now, according to a

2018 analysis by McKinsey

& Company. Up to 2025, the

value of electricity is expected

to rise by 4% per year, or

€235 billion. According to the

International Energy Agency,

$7.2 trillion will be spent in

the industry between now

and 2025, ensuring the utility

sector’s long-term stability.

of families have access to

electricity throughout the

industrialized world. That the

utilities in these countries are

among of the largest in the

world is not surprising.
