JOSHUA
BURNELL & BAND
Saturday 22nd October
8pm
£15
Revamped with a new
sound, look and album,
Joshua and his incredible
band return to the stage.
His music ranges from
stomping, acoustic singalongs,
Bowie-esque music
hall epics, and indie-pop, all
whilst keeping a sharp focus
on the traditional themes. It’s
carved a unique identity and
has been given the thumbs
up by Mark Radcliffe (BBC
Radio 2) and Tom Robinson
(BBC Radio 6 Music). Joshua
Burnell and his band are
poised to become bigger
and better than ever before.
Having cut his teeth playing
the folk festivals of the UK
and releasing two albums of
traditional songs, Joshua’s
returning to original
songwriting with his new
album Flowers Where the
Horses Sleep. The record is
inspired by the lives of
people both past and
present and explores
humankind’s remarkable
ability to find beauty, even in
the ugliest of times, an ability
more relevant than ever.
