LUNCHTIME

RECITAL:

HARRIET ADIE

(HARP)

Thursday 15th December

1pm

£6

A busy professional harpist

for over 15 years, Harriet

Adie is known for her

intense musicality, creativity,

and focus, but

her introduction to the harp

was far from conventional.

Harriet first began lessons in

Oman in the Middle East,

where fishing wire proved a

suitable replacement for any

broken harp strings!

Now, as an accomplished

chamber musician, Harriet

has performed with

renowned cellist Julian Lloyd-

Webber, and was for many

years, a member of the

Swan Duo with cellist Jessica

Burroughs. Harriet is a

founding member of the

internationally recognized

ensemble 4 Girls 4 Harps,

whose music has been

broadcast on Classic FM,

BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3

and BBC Radio 4, as well as

across the world as far as

Australia and the USA.

DR. ANNIE GRAY:

SERVING

WINSTON - THE

LIFE AND TIMES

OF GEORGINA

LANDEMARE

Friday 16th December

7.30pm

£17

Dr. Annie Gray is one of

Britain's leading food

historians. She is a panelist

on BBC Radio 4's The

Kitchen Cabinet and

appears on TV, including

The Victorian Bakers and

food programmes with

Nigel Slater, Heston

Blumenthal and James

Martin.

Georgina Landemare was

the longest serving cook for

Churchill across Downing

Street, Chequers and

Chartwell. The talk will cover

her life and career along

with the food she cooked,

the impact of rationing at

No. 10, and the relationship

she had with her illustrious

employers.

The talk is both a celebration

of a determined cook, and a

reminder that behind every

great man lies a woman who

can make a mean custard.

Combining a classic rock

grit with the tongue twistingvocal

beyond their years.

They have a distinctive indiepop

sensibility that’s

complimented by a rocking

musical pedigree which

and endlessly unique.

With more releases planned

performance gives local

audiences the privileged

opportunity to see a

vivacious live band hit the

ground running.

The proceeds from The
