üst ölçekten bakış, mekana dair imajımızı uzaktan
edinmemizi ve yere özel detayları kaçırmamıza
neden olabilmektedir. Bu açıdan havadan
görüntü bir nesnelliğe sahiptir diyebiliriz ve sunuş
şekliyle alana dair düşüncelerimizi (ön görülerimizi)
manipüle edilebilir. Üst ölçekli bakış, insanın
doğa üzerinde bir hakimiyeti ilişkilendirildiği için,
her şeyi gören her şeye hakim olan insan aynı zamanda
yeri kolayca değiştirebileceği fikrini edinmektedir.
Kent üzerine düşünene ve kenti tasarlayanlar
olarak uzaktan gözlemek eğilimindeyiz,
yürümek bunu kırmamızı sağlayabilmektedir. Harita
üzerinde yürüdüğümüzde bu alanlar hakkında
farklı bir bakış edinmemiz mümkün olmaktadır.
Harita üzerinde yüründüğünde ve yürüyüş haritalandığında
bu bölgeler hakkında benzersiz bir bakış
açısı yakalanır (Tümerdem Medaric, 2018, s.
119). Bu şekilde şehirlerin “bilinmeyen bölgeleri”,
“bilinen” bölgeleri haline gelebilmektedir.

man also gets the idea that he can easily change
the place. As those who think about and design
the city, we tend to observe from afar, walking
can help us break this. When we walk on the map,
it is possible to get a different view of these areas.
When walking on the map and mapping the walk,
a unique perspective is captured about these regions
(Tumerdem Medaric, 2018, p. 119). In this
way, “unknown regions” of cities can become
“known” regions.
