Home to Lady Emma Barnard, Parham is a private estate beautifully set at the foot of the<br />

South Downs in West Sussex described by Simon Jenkins as ‘in the Top 20 of England’s Best<br />

Houses’. The traditional stone Elizabethan mansion complete with Great Hall and Long<br />

Gallery, houses an excellent collection of portraits, furniture, needlework and antiquities. The<br />

Salisbury Cathedral<br />

Fantastic day out to Salisbury including entrance to the remarkable Cathedral which recently celebrated being a place of worship for 800 years and has<br />

the tallest spire in the country - a breathtaking 404ft. Inside the Chapter House, you can also discover an original Magna Carta! Our day includes<br />

entrance with a self-guided tour but there are volunteer guides to offer information. On Tuesdays there are demos of the medieval clock and the<br />

stonemasons. Currently the cathedral has an exhibition of six huge tapestries by Grayson Perry - The Vanity of Small Differences. Free time after to<br />

explore the historic jewel of Salisbury - so much to see. Great place to spend a day.<br />

Situated in West Sussex this 465 acres country estate has become famous as the site of the Millennium Seed Bank, the RHS program to preserve species<br />

from all over the world. Situated in the grounds is the Elizabethan Mansion was owned by Sir William Boord, and it was Lord Wakehurst, who started to<br />

develop the gardens. He was passionate about plants and helped sponsor many collecting expeditions, particularly to eastern Asia, still the world's<br />

richest source of temperate flora. So much to see including the Loder Valley Nature Reserve, Coronation Meadow, the amazing wetlands section,<br />

Step back in time with us, as we head first to one of our favourite stopping places,<br />

Marlborough. This archetypal English Market town has that 'film location' quality and is a<br />

great spot to stroll around and enjoy a nice lunch. In the afternoon we head to nearby Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley' horse drawn barge for a 2<br />

½ hour cruise along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. This wide beam passenger boat was purpose built for carrying passengers. Facilities onboard<br />

temples, monuments, rare plants and a criss-cross of sloping walkways surrounding the<br />

travel to the beautiful town of Bradford on Avon near Bath, with an extended stop on<br />

After being collected from your convenient local pick point we head for the centre of Winchester. Once the Capital of England, the city is packed with<br />

historic buildings including the impressive 11th Century Cathedral combined with tranquil green spaces. Stopping here for a couple of hours, so plenty<br />

of time to enjoy a 'brunch'. We head on to near Odiham where we board our boat for a trip along the Basingstoke Canal. Step aboard the 68 foot<br />

widebeam John Pinkerton, manned by trained volunteers. Enjoy the wildlife and countryside on our 2 1/2 hour cruise along tranquil stretches of water.<br />

Step back in time with us, as we head first to one of our favourite stopping places, Marlborough. This archetypal English Market town has that 'film<br />

location' quality and is a great spot to stroll around and enjoy a nice lunch. In the afternoon we head to nearby Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley'<br />

horse drawn barge for a 2 ½ hour cruise along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. This wide beam passenger boat was purpose built for carrying<br />

passengers. Facilities onboard include a well stocked bar serving tea, coffee, soft drinks and beverages. Whilst on board we have included a cup of tea &<br />
