Apis Honeybee that are affected and even then it only actually
affects the females! There are over 20,000 species of bees
around the world so almost all bees don’t die after they sting

It might have changed a bit since the time of writing this. Last year, Sustrans announced their plan to create a new path through the Woodland
Garden. It was to be completed by the end of March this year, but in the event, it was still awaiting the topsoil a couple of weeks ago.
When that’s delivered, Brighter Bridge of Weir will begin to recreate the Woodland Garden. A few new trees and shrubs, some woodland plants and
a ‘managed wildland’ section for native flora and fauna (and maybe a couple of other features, too). With luck, most of that will be in place by the
end of this month and there will be an ever-changing, (mostly) self-sustaining urban woodland for us all to appreciate.
We may be heading into Autumn, but Brighter Bridge of Weir aims for a colourful village all year round. If you like what we do and could help
the Group, even for just a couple of hours every now and then, please get in touch. You can contact us through our Facebook page, or website
www.brighterbridgeofweir.org or phone Neil on 01505 613043, or Dougie on 07810 722806.
