Petrie to our frontline workforce, and to
thank every one of them on behalf of the
board, the people and community Allevia
supports, and all the stakeholders of Allevia
for their continued and wholehearted
commitment to the Allevia cause.
It is also important to recognise the ongoing
service and commitment of my colleagues
serving as directors on the board. Each is
serving in a voluntary capacity and bring the
benefit of their experience to Allevia.
Adding to our existing diverse and talented
board team, on 24 February 2022, we
welcomed Christine McQueen to the board.
Christine brings a wealth of experience
in clinical governance within the health,
disability, training, and community services
sectors. We are delighted that she has
agreed to contribute her experience to the
organisation.

Finally, I would like to thank all the people
we support, their informal supports and all
our supportive external stakeholders for
their continuing belief in, and support of,
the organisation. At its most fundamental,
an organisation such as Allevia is the sum
of each and every person, both internal and
external, and both recipient and contributor.
Such an organisation can only be successful
if there is ongoing commitment, trust and
generosity by every person involved.
The change of government during the
year is bringing an operating environment
that appears to be evolving for the better
for Allevia and for the NDIS in general.
Whilst change is still underway, it is our
hope that we are entering a period of
relative stability, which will enable the
team to move on from crisis management
to focus on implementing the Allevia
