sing a new song to You, O God; On a harp of ten strings
I will sing praises to You, The One who gives salvation
to kings, Who delivers David His servant From the
deadly sword. Rescue me and deliver me from the hand
of foreigners, Whose mouth speaks lying words, And
whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood-- That our
sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; That our
daughters may be as pillars, Sculptured in palace style;
That our barns may be full, Supplying all kinds of
produce; That our sheep may bring forth thousands And
ten thousands in our fields; That our oxen may be wellladen;
That there be no breaking in or going out; That
there be no outcry in our streets. Happy are the people
who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose
God is the LORD! Isa. 45:7. 'I form the light and create
darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the
LORD, do all these things.' Jer. 14:22. Are there any
among the idols of the nations that can cause rain? Or
can the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O
LORD our God? Therefore we will wait for You, Since
You have made all these. Matt. 6:28. So why do you
worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field,
how they grow: they neither toil nor spin. 30. Now if
God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and
tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much
more clothe you, O you of little faith? Col. 1:16-17. For
by Him all things were created that are in heaven and
that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones
or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were
created through Him and for Him. And He is before all
