AOSC <strong>2023</strong>: Anchoring the<br />

present, Aligning for the future<br />

Association of Orthodontists (Singapore)<br />

Congress (AOSC) will return as an in-person<br />

event for the first time since the onset of the<br />

pandemic. Expecting close to 800 attendees,<br />

AOSC <strong>2023</strong> is set to take place at Marina Bay<br />

Sands across three days from 17-19 Feb <strong>2023</strong>.<br />

Organised by the Association of Orthodontists<br />

(Singapore), AOSC <strong>2023</strong> will host a total of<br />

17 renowned speakers from the orthodontic<br />

community including keynote speakers Dr<br />

Ute Scheider-Moser, Dr Simon Littlewood, and<br />

Dr Ravindra Nanda. Boasting a well-rounded<br />

conference programme under the conference<br />

theme of Anchoring the Present, Aligning for<br />

the Future, attendees can look forward to an<br />

exciting three-day conference programme<br />

covering a wide variety of essential topics for<br />

the modern orthodontist.<br />

“This year, we are excited to welcome dentists<br />

and orthodontic colleagues from around the<br />

region, back for an in-person AOSC. We will<br />

continue to bring the best AOSC experience<br />

to our attendees, with a robust conference<br />

programme and dedicated orthodontic<br />

exhibition, to equip fellow orthodontists with<br />

the latest innovations, while striving for<br />

clinical excellence,” shared Dr Koo Chieh Shen,<br />

chairperson of AOSC <strong>2023</strong>.<br />

The well-established AOSC trade exhibition<br />

will also be returning with a curated number of<br />

companies within the speciality of orthodontics<br />

exhibiting their latest products and services. A<br />

total of 16 exhibiting companies representing<br />

over 95 brands are set to participate in AOSC<br />

<strong>2023</strong>. Attendees can also look forward to<br />

discovering the latest products and solutions<br />

from leading orthodontic companies including<br />

Clearcorrect, Henry Schein, Invisalign and more.<br />

After a four-year hiatus of physical events,<br />

reconnecting in person is more appreciated<br />

than ever before. The AOSC Gardens by the<br />

Bay Run will return this edition on 18 Feb to<br />

facilitate networking opportunities and elevate<br />

the attendee’s event experience.<br />

The AOSC Scientific Poster Competition will<br />

also make its return with an in-person event<br />

with the vision that continued research is an<br />

important pillar of orthodontics. Featuring<br />

the best in the field of orthodontics, the <strong>2023</strong><br />

Scientific Poster Competition will feature 30<br />

submissions, competing for two awards: best<br />

research project and best case study. DA<br />

Some key highlights of the programme will<br />

include a post-congress day for workshops<br />

and a dedicated half-day programme<br />

focused on obstructive sleep apnoea for the<br />

orthodontist, presented through the lens of<br />

experienced medical and dental speakers<br />

Dr Dawn Teo, Dr Shaun Loh, Dr Lye Kok Weng<br />

and Prof Lee Kee Joon.
