A core group of local business
people have joined forces
to form a working group.
Ironically this occurred just
prior to the controversial
execution of the ‘Shared Zone’
at the southern end of Avalon
Village. However, the group is
keen to develop a long-term
strategy for the economic
and cultural development
of the area. On 30 March at
4pm, the Chamber will host
a gathering (with live music
and pizza) at the Avalon Bowlo
and wish to invite all local
business owners (not only
those with shopfronts!) to
become members. Organisers
say no businesses will be
considered too big or too small.
The Chamber hopes to attract
skilled, passionate individuals
to be part of a development
process to help execute positive
change and growth in the local
area. Membership can entail as
little or as much involvement
as individual businesses
wish. More info avalonpalmbeachbusinesschamber.com.au
Vet
As our furry friends age, it
is so important to make
sure that we provide them
with the best care possible. It
can be difficult to know how
to do this when they enter
their senior years. Here are
some essential tips on caring
for older pets.
Regular Vet Check-Ups –
Many health problems can
develop quickly and without
any warning signs, so regular
vet visits become even more
important. Your vet will be
able to assess your pet’s
overall health and recommend
treatments or lifestyle
changes if needed. They may
also suggest supplements,
medications or vaccinations.
Adjust Diet / Exercise – As
pets age, their dietary needs
change as well. Older pets
may require different levels
of protein, carbohydrates,
and fats than when they were
younger. In addition, exercise
should be adjusted based on
your pet’s age and activity
level. Make sure you talk to
your vet about what diet and
exercise routine is best for
your aging pet before making
any changes on your own!
Provide Comfort – An
older pet’s needs don’t stop at
physical health; mental health
is just as important! Providing
comfort and companionship
will help keep them feeling
happy and loved as they age
gracefully. This could mean
anything from giving them
extra cuddles each day to
getting them a companion (if
applicable). If you work all day
or travel frequently, leaving an
interactive toy or two in the
home may provide some entertainment
while you’re away
– just make sure it doesn’t get
too noisy!
Caring for an older pet requires
a bit of extra effort but
can be incredibly rewarding.
Taking these simple steps will
ensure that both you and your
aging pet enjoy quality time
together for years to come!
