Cressman Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Cummins Jessica Ferenschak, a therapy aide in Phoebe Home’s Therapy Services Department for the past two summers, has been awarded a scholarship made possible by the William J. and Jacqueline Davies Fund. This named fund specifically supports training for rehab professionals employed by Phoebe. Ferenschak received funding for school and will be entitled to additional funding when she joins Phoebe full-time after graduation. Ferenschak decided to submit her resume to Phoebe when she needed a summer job between semesters at college. “I figured it would give me an idea of what physical therapy was all about,” she said. Granting the first scholarship has been an exciting step in establishing this named fund. According to Davies, he and Jacqueline “are pleased to provide the incentive for students to follow this career path and remain at Phoebe when they attain their degrees.” Ferenschak majors in Physical Therapy at The College of Misericordia in Dallas, Pa., where she is now a senior.
