Ingredients:
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 cup carrots, julienned
1/2 cup turnip, julienned
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1/4 cup onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (25 pcs) lumpia
wrappers
Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, carrots, turnip, green onions,
onion, garlic, soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper until well combined.
Take a lumpia wrapper and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the
center of the wrapper.
Roll the wrapper tightly, making sure to tuck in the sides, to form a small
cylinder. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Heat the cooking oil in a deep pot or frying pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the lumpiang Shanghai to the pot and fry
until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove the lumpia from the oil with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper
towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Repeat with the remaining lumpia until all are cooked.
Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
