My favorite

ties in the
RDS. The fans
are always
behind us.
While things are looking good for the
future, the immediate focus turns to the
reigning URC champions, who currently
lie second in the table.
The DHL Stormers were seven-point
winners in the reverse fixture last
season in Cape Town, and Kearney is
expecting a proper test tonight.
“The South African teams are so
physical, no matter what the team is,
whether home or away. The Stormers
are playing really well this season. I
think it’ll be a great game.
“It’ll be a brilliant test for us. We’ll have
a young squad, and it’ll be a proper
test, which can only be a good thing
for us.
“The pace the Stormers play is
incredibly quick too, so we need to be
aware of their threats throughout the
backline.
Tonight’s match is the final regular home
game of the season in the RDS, and
when asked about his relationship with
Leinster’s fans, Kearney could not give
enough praise to the Sea of Blue.
“It’s what Leinster is! Every home game
and away game we get phenomenal
support. Whether it’s the RDS, the Aviva,
or away from home - they’re always
there.
“My favorite games are the home
European ties in the RDS. The fans are
always behind us. I’ve had plenty of
special moments on that field. After we
had a great season, the first home game
of the following season always has that
special buzz.
