Inclusivity
to Kick Off

Last month, Roscrea
RFC officially launched
their new Additional
Needs Tag Rugby Team.
In the coming weeks, the club will
run a competition within schools
in the area to name and design
the logo for this new addition.
These new teams will provide
an inclusive and enjoyable
experience for those with
additional needs, allowing them
to participate in a fun and socially
engaging sport.
On the night, Roscrea RFC Youths
Leinster Rugby
are delighted
to welcome
St Colmcilles
CS to the RDS
this evening.
Coordinator - Darren Bayliss welcomed
guests and provided a comprehensive
overview of the club's plans for the
future and the ethos of how these
new additional needs teams and how
they will be designed entirely around
encompassing inclusivity, camaraderie
and fun to create a safe and supportive
environment for all players, regardless
of their abilities or experience to a wellrepresented
crowd of parents and local
service providers.
The club welcomes expressions of interest
from new members and wants to expand
its reach in the coming months. The new
Tag Rugby teams aim to become the
premier Additional Needs Tag Rugby
team in the area and hopes to continue
fostering a welcoming environment for all.

St Colmcilles win
Inclusion Competition
The school took part in Leinster’s
Inclusivity Committee School
Survey earlier this season.
St Colmcilles Junior Rugby Team became
Leinster Champions in Energia Park on
December 15 against Mountrath CS in
the Division 3A JCT Development Shield
Final. It was a greay display of rugby
was shown by these talented young boys
only after starting rugby in the school two
months prior.
Winning this has fuelled their desire to
compete at a higher level and are now
entered into the Junior B league, where
they will play at a very competitive level.
We wish the team the best of luck to the
boys in their upcoming season, and hope
they enjoy their night in the RDS.
