At Peninsula High School in Port Orchard,<br />

Wash., Roe was a two-sport athlete, earning<br />

multiple varsity letters in cross country <strong>and</strong> track <strong>and</strong> field.<br />

He served as the co-captain of the CC team his senior year<br />

<strong>and</strong> earned All-Conference honors in leading the team to the<br />

state finals two years in a row for the first time in 25 years.<br />

Roe is an Exercise Science major. His parents are David <strong>and</strong><br />

Robin.<br />

At Pine Tree High School, Simmons was<br />

a three-sport athlete, earning varsity letters<br />

in cross country, track, <strong>and</strong> football. He served as the captain<br />

of the CC team his junior <strong>and</strong> senior year, <strong>and</strong> the track team<br />

his senior year. He was an All-District <strong>and</strong> Regional qualifier for<br />

CC his senior season <strong>and</strong> an All-District <strong>and</strong> Regional qualifier<br />

in track three out of four years. He helped lead the cross country<br />

<strong>and</strong> track teams to city, district <strong>and</strong> regional titles <strong>and</strong> was<br />

a finalist in the Men’s 800 meters <strong>and</strong> Men’s 4 x 400 meters.<br />

Simmons is a communications <strong>and</strong> African studies major. His<br />

parents are Charles <strong>and</strong> Joelta.<br />

Lars Tenglin<br />

Norton High School<br />

At Norton High School, Tenglin earned two<br />

varsity letters as a member of the track <strong>and</strong><br />

field team. He earned Tri-Valley League All-Conference honors<br />

his senior year <strong>and</strong> finished seventh in the javelin throw at the<br />

state meet while taking second in the TVL out of 25 competitors.<br />

Tenglin is a history major. His parents are James <strong>and</strong> Lisa.<br />
