16 Athlete Profiles-Women Colleen Bielfeldt Sophomore 5’7” (Lemont, Ill.) Lemont Township High School At Lemont High School, Bielfeldt earned four varsity letters as a member of the track and field team. She served as the team’s captain her junior and senior seasons, was named the Most Improved Athlete her sophomore year and earned Suburban Prairie All-Conference honors all four years. Bielfeldt is a psychology and Spanish major. Her mother is Terri. Shelby Effinger Freshman (Temecula, Calif.) Temecula High School Jacque Fisher Sophomore (Hillsboro, KS.) Hillsboro High School Kalina Hartliep Senior 5’4” (Renton, Wash.) Kentridge High School Hartliep competes in the sprint events for North Park. She was a three-year member of the track and field team at Kentridge High School, competing mainly in the 400- and 800-meter runs. She served as the track team co-captain her senior year and was a SPSL North Conference qualifier in 4 x 400 relay and the 800 meters. Hartliep is also a member of the North Park women’s soccer team. She is a nursing major and her parents are Ron Hartliep and Glenine Collins. Katherine Jemine Freshman 6’0” (Chicago, Ill.) St. Scholastica Academy At St. Scholastica Academy, Jemine was a shot put and discus competitor for the track and field team. She earned the Leadership Award her senior year as well as Coaches Award. Jemine is a nursing major. Jeanetta Johnson Freshman 5’7” (Skokie, Ill.) Niles North High School At Niles North High School, Johnson served as the team captain of the track and field team her junior and senior years. She earned the team’s MVP award as well as the Coaches Award and was named to the All-Conference team her senior year. In addition, Johnson qualified for state her senior year. She is a biology major and her parents are Willie and Debra. Hannah Landecker Sophomore 5’5” (Staples, Minn.) Staples Motley High School At Staples Motley High School in Minnesota, Landecker earned six varsity letters each in cross country and track and field. She served as the co-captain of the cross country team all four years in high school and was a five-time MVP in cross country. She also earned All-Conference honors and All-State honors in both cross country and track for multiple seasons. Landecker graduated Staples Motley as the Salutatorian and was in the Top 5 in her class all four years. She is a nursing and Spanish major, and her parents are Don and Connie.
Laura Papageorgiou Junior 5’5” (Skokie, Ill.) Niles North High School At Niles North High School, Papageorgiou competed on the cross country and track and field teams throughout her four years. She is an exercise science major and her parents are Vasilios and Paula. Amy Perez Freshman 5’5” (Chicago, Ill.) Northside College Prep At Northside College Prep, Perez was a four-sport athlete, competing in swimming, lacrosse, cross country, and track and field. She is undecided in her major, and her parents are Juan and Ester. Erika Rees Sophomore 5’7” (Tinley Park, Ill.) Victor J. Andrew High School Rees competed in the 200- and 400-meter runs as well as the relays for the track and field team at V.J. Andrew High School. She helped lead the 4 x 4 indoor and 4 x 2 outdoor relay teams to the SICA West Conference championship. She holds the 4 x 4 indoor and the medley outdoor school records. Rees is an exercise science major. Her parents are Dennis and Wendy. Athlete Profiles-Women Tiffany Schwartz Junior 4’11” (McHenry, Ill.) McHenry West High School At McHenry West High School, Schwartz was a two-sport athlete, competing in track and field and cross country. She served as the captain for both the cross country and track and field teams. She helped lead the track team to an IHSA sectional championship in 2004. Schwartz is a biology and pre-vet major. Her parents are Kenneth and Barbara. No Photo Nicole Cripe Freshman 5’0” (Hanover, Mich.) Athens High School Cripe was a four-year member of the track and field team at Athens High School. She served as the team captain her junior and senior seasons and was the MVP her senior year. She earned Big Eight All-Conference honors all four years as well.
