Booking an Event 

All bookings are for events held 1st June 2023 – 30th 

August 2023 and will be held over Zoom, Facebook, 

YouTube or in person. 

Spaces fill up quickly so we recommend you book in 

as soon as you can. If you can no longer attend, please 

contact a member of staff or cancel online so it can be 

offered to someone on the waiting list. 

If your chosen event is booked out, join our waiting list. 

We will contact you if tickets become available. 

How to Book 

ONLINE: 

Visit wml.vic.gov.au and select the ‘Events’ tab. You 

can search for the event name or browse by category, 

audience, language or month. Click on the event and 

click the red ‘Register for event’ button on the righthand 

side. Please make sure your details are correct 

as a staff member may need to contact you regarding 

your event. 

BY PHONE OR IN BRANCH: 

Contact us by phone or in branch, and a staff member 

will book you in to the event.

Looking for a new way to express your creativity? 

Don't have time to write a whole book? Whether you're 

just starting out or are a seasoned creator, zines* are 

a great DIY method to publish your own art, poems, 

writing, musings, or anything at all in a welcoming, 

inclusive environment – and publication only takes as 

long as a trip to the photocopier! 

Note: Our June meeting will be a workshop with Liz, 

a zine artist from the Sticky Institute, which sells and 

celebrates zines. 

*What are zines? The term is short for magazine or 

fanzine.

Writers Group Workshops (18 – 25 years) 

The Writers Group is a series of free skills development workshops open to writers with all levels of experience living 

with a disability. This is a facilitated writing group led by an experienced writing mentor, Jenny Hedley. Sessions 

will include a tutorial with a guest writer with disability and will make use of films and other resources from Writers 

Victoria’s Writeability Archive. The writing group will be held monthly from June to December 2023. 

This is a Creative writing workshop for young adults (18-25) living with disability. This includes (but isn't limited to) people with sensory
