<strong>KELLOGG</strong> MEETING PACKAGE MENU 2023 - 2024 POLICIES FOR CATERING CATERING ORDER CUT-OFFS To ensure optimal selection and the best possible service, please book events at least two weeks in advance. Catering requests received less than seven days out will be accommodated to the best our abilities. An additional labor charge may be incurred if order is within 72 hours of delivery time and confirmed due to current labor rules pertaining to the Chicago’s Fair Work Week Ordinance. EMS ON-LINE ORDERS Orders put into EMS directly by the booking client will be reviewed and approved by NU Kellogg Catering. Additional costs may be incurred based on the event style and added to the event order. The updated event order will be returned to the booking client for approval prior to execution. GUEST COUNTS/CONFIRMATION All guest count confirmations must be sent three business days prior to the event. Any count change closer than three days will be accommodated when possible. Orders are not confirmed without an approved and signed BEO. BILLING/PAYMENT Form of payment (chart string) is required at time of booking and to confirm your order. Orders are not confirmed without payment information. SPECIAL DIETS All special dietary requests must be made when placing the order. Diners requiring more information can talk to an onsite manager. All food - allergic individuals must be aware that NU Catering handles and prepares egg, milk, wheat, shellfish, fish, soy, peanut and tree nut products, sesame products and other potential allergens in the production areas of our facility. CANCELLATION Cancellations and charges will follow these guidelines: • Five days or more prior to catering request – no charge* • Four days prior – 25% of total confirmed catering costs * • Three days prior – 50% of the total confirmed catering costs* • Two days prior to catering request – 75% of total confirmed catering costs* • 24 hours or less – 100% of the total confirmed catering costs Specialty items unique to your event may be paid at 100% depending on the time frame of cancellation. *Labor may be charged to be in compliance with Chicago’s Fair Work Week Ordinance. SET-UP & STAFFING Service staff costs will be applied to events where personnel is needed on-site during the event. Events utilizing china will always require on-site service staff. All service staff requires a four-hour minimum per industry standard. NU Kellogg Catering will determine the amount of service staff required for an event. Weekend events will require an additional labor charge. Events where culinary staff is needed on-site, including passed hors d’oeuvres, plated meals, action stations, etc. will incur Culinary Staffing charges. 3 3
