A series of cemetery tours revealing<br />
not only the great and good but also<br />
the interesting, scandalous and downright<br />
evil. Join local historian Richard<br />
Greenaway on a tour of the St Mary’s<br />
Anglican Church Cemetery and find<br />
the graves of Sir John Cracroft Wilson<br />
and his family, the pre-Adamite Birdlings,<br />
along with families who were<br />
involved in scandal and tragedy. Cemetery<br />
tour booklets are available for $5<br />

Join a fascinating guided tour through<br />
this Victorian home, the heart of<br />
Christchurch’s pioneering history,<br />
at a special price for the Heritage<br />
Christchurch Quilters Exhibition, Thursday-Saturday, 10am-4pm,<br />
Riccarton High School Hall. View a variety of members’ quilts and two<br />
guest exhibitions at Christchurch’s biggest quilt exhibition this year. The<br />
textile art on display includes a great diversity of contemporary, modern<br />
art, pictorial and landscape, and traditional and upcycled quilts. Some<br />
have taken part in national and international competitions and travelling<br />
exhibitions. Our two guest exhibitions are part of Aotearoa Quilters entitled<br />
Light it Up and the Red Challenge. Raffle tickets will be available to buy,<br />
offering great prizes including a sewing machine donated by Bernina, two<br />
quilts, and fabric, among other prizes. Tickets are $5 for adults, and free for<br />

Festival. Our tour entwines the Dean’s<br />
family story, from their origins in<br />
lowland Scotland to the triumphs<br />
and tragedies in New Zealand, with<br />
a guided experience of over 20 rooms<br />
throughout Riccarton House. Tour<br />
numbers will be kept to a maximum<br />
of 20. Tours are held at 11am and<br />
2pm and run for an hour and a half.<br />
