Lisbon is one of the oldest and most beautiful European metropolises and not only features a wonderful landscape but also great history and a pleasant climate. Even in mid-November, daytime temperatures reach almost +20°C and do not drop below +10°C at night. Join in and celebrate the last sunny summer days together with choirs from all over the world in the Portuguese capital on the banks of the Tagus!

Salome Rebello é maestrina, pianista,<br />

cantora, educadora e arranjadora.<br />

Nascida e criada em Bombaim, na Índia,<br />

obteve a licenciatura e o mestrado em<br />

Piano e Direção Coral na Academia de<br />

Música e Dança de Jerusalém, em Israel.<br />

Foi maestrina de numerosos coros,<br />

incluindo o Jerusalem Oratorio Choir (a<br />

maior organização coral de Israel) e o<br />

Singing Tree Choir Mumbai. Durante o<br />

seu tempo em Israel e na Índia, Salomé<br />

Rebello utilizou ativamente o canto coral<br />

como uma ferramenta para o trabalho de<br />

coexistência intercultural e envolvimento<br />

social. Educadora apaixonada, esteve<br />

envolvida na educação durante 20 anos<br />

como professora, formadora e líder de<br />

workshops, incluindo com o Ministério<br />

da Educação de Israel. Recentemente,<br />

Salomé Rebello foi nomeada maestrina do<br />

premiado Ulmer Spatzen Chor e directora<br />

do departamento de canto da Escola de<br />

Música de Ulm, na Alemanha. Para além<br />

da educação, Salomé Rebello tem um<br />

grande interesse em performance-arte<br />

inovadora. A sua última criação, "Lullaby,<br />

Stranger", foi um concerto coral imersivo,<br />

apresentado em Mumbai de 2018 a 2020.<br />

Apresentou-o na Exposição Coral Mundial<br />

(2022) e no Simpósio Mundial de Música<br />

Coral (<strong>2023</strong>). Salomé Rebello possui ainda<br />

um Bacharelato em Sociologia pelo St.<br />

Xavier's College Mumbai.<br />

Salome Rebello is a conductor, pianist,<br />

singer, educator, and arranger. Born and<br />

raised in Mumbai India, she obtained her<br />

bachelor's and master's degrees in Piano<br />

and Choral Conducting from the Jerusalem<br />

Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. She<br />

has served as the conductor of numerous<br />

choirs, including the Jerusalem Oratorio<br />

Choir (Israel's largest choral organization)<br />

and the Singing Tree Choir Mumbai.<br />

During her time in Israel and India, Salome<br />

Rebello actively used choral singing as a<br />

tool for intercultural coexistence work and<br />

social engagement. A passionate educator,<br />

she has been involved in education for 20<br />

years as a teacher, trainer, and workshop<br />

leader including with the Israeli Ministry<br />

of Education. Recently Salome Rebello<br />

was appointed as conductor of the awardwinning<br />

Ulmer Spatzen Chor and as head<br />

of the Singing department at the Ulm<br />

Music School, Germany. Beyond education,<br />

Salome Rebello has a keen interest in<br />

innovative performance-art. Her last<br />

creation “Lullaby, Stranger” was an<br />

immersive choral-concert and showcased<br />

in Mumbai from 2018 -2020. She presented<br />

it at the World Choral Expo (2022) and<br />

the World Symposium for Choral Music<br />

(<strong>2023</strong>). Salome Rebello additionally holds<br />

a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St.<br />

Xavier’s College Mumbai.
