MacNeil introduces the brands competing at<br />

Grade 1 in the World Pipe Band Championships<br />

<strong>20</strong>23, aka Na Worlds. In this episode, sounds<br />

and sights from the climactic second day of the<br />

event are showcased with internationally<br />

distinguished pipers and drummers from<br />

Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canada and<br />

New Zealand taking part. Peoples Ford Boghall<br />

and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band won the title<br />

this year, led by Pipe Major, Ross Harvey and<br />

Lead Drummer, Kerr McQuillan making this the<br />

band’s first ever victory at The Worlds. St.<br />

Laurence O’Toole, Scottish Power and Simon<br />

Fraser University are amongst just some of the<br />

rendition of, “Shattered Cross” - a tribute to the<br />
