Beacon Awards<br />

Some of the best bus<strong>in</strong>esses and most community-m<strong>in</strong>ded people <strong>in</strong> <strong>Lichfield</strong> District have<br />

been honoured at the <strong>in</strong>augural Beacon Awards.<br />

At the gala celebration at the National Memorial Arboretum on Thursday 12th October<br />

bus<strong>in</strong>ess representatives and teams gathered with district ‘heroes’ and council representatives<br />

<strong>in</strong> the Aspects Build<strong>in</strong>g to recognise each other’s achievements over the past year.<br />

The event, organised by <strong>Lichfield</strong> District Council, was compered by Deputy Lieutenant of<br />

Staffordshire and prom<strong>in</strong>ent bus<strong>in</strong>essman James Leavesley DL who welcomed everyone to<br />

the occasion.<br />

Follow<strong>in</strong>g a delicious meal, the awards were presented <strong>in</strong> numerous categories. The<br />

W<strong>in</strong>ners, Highly Commended and Commended, are:<br />
