inspection
solution revealed at

HTDS announces the exclusive launch of the innovative
under-vehicle inspection solution, SecuScan, at Milipol
Paris this year.
This solution is an efficient and
modular under-vehicle inspection
system that swiftly detects
hazardous items (explosives, drugs,
weapons, contraband goods,
etc.) and concealed individuals at
security checkpoints. SecuScan
provides a global view of the entire
undercarriage, including door sills
and steps, offering high-resolution,
full-colour imaging without
compromising inspection speed or
the safety of on-site agents.
Available in both fixed and
mobile versions, SecuScan
boasts advanced continuous
zoom technology and automatic
object detection algorithms,
allowing for detailed inspection of
elements. Detected anomalies are
prominently highlighted in red on
the control screen, aiding operator
decisions.
This system offers optional
automatic number plate
recognition (ANPR) for all vehicle
types, ensuring rapid and accurate
plate identification.
Beyond under-vehicle inspection,
SecuScan integrates a scene
camera, capturing a top-down view
of the vehicle as it passes through
the inspection zone. This feature
enables operators to examine blind
spots and inspect vehicle roofs

to run manual identification matches. Nor would time be spent

competition aims to recognise the
most innovative manufacturers
in the homeland security sector,

BEFPI is a family business based in
the Yonne region in France. At Milipol
Paris this year they are showcasing
the Stixx MAUS 5 and 10 automatic
extinguishing units.
These extinguishing units provide
early detection (180°) of a fire
outbreak, and a protection capacity
of 0.5 to 1 M 3 despite their small size.

Genasys enhances fire rescue
operations with strategic partnership
Genasys Protect platform provides emergency managers with
a unified operating picture of events and granular control
to deliver the right message to the right people at the right
time. Exhibiting at Milipol Paris 2023, Genasys is advancing
emergency response capabilities further through a strategic
collaboration with Tablet Command.
Tablet Command is an emergency
response management solution
for fire service professionals, and
this partnership gives users realtime
access to evacuation zones via
Genasys Protect. By integrating with
Genasys Protect, Tablet Command’s
existing mapping services become
configurable, showing real-time
evacuation zone data such as the
status of zones, the number of
emergency vehicles in the area,
cross streets, and more. As a result,
fire rescue teams gain an accurate,
complete picture of fire incidents
as they unfold and can respond
effectively.

Protect integration brings everyone
onto the same sheet of music when
clear, timely communication is critical,”

Tablet Command integrated with
Genasys Protect gives battalion

on the scene, they will know whether
a zone is under advisory warning,
or if an evacuation is in place. This
additional level of intelligence is key
in scenarios such as wildfires, where
time is of the essence

Dans une interview exclusive, le préfet Yann Jounot,
PDG de Civipol et président des salons Milipol, dépeint l’étendue
et l’impact du salon Milipol Paris
Milipol Paris, c’est plus de 30 000
visiteurs attendus, près de 1100
entreprises exposantes et environ
160 délégations étrangères. Cet
événement business important
s’adresse à des acheteurs, tous les
visiteurs doivent donc s’inscrire pour
rentrer sur le salon. « Tous les salons
Milipol ont la particularité d’être des
événements d’état, placés sous la
présidence du Ministre de l’Intérieur »,
souligne le préfet. « Gérald Darmanin
viendra donc inaugurer le salon le 14
novembre, en présence du Ministre
de l’Intérieur du Qatar et du Ministre
de l’Intérieur de Singapour, qu’il a
convié pour l’accompagner. »
« Milipol est l’occasion de réunir
ce que le monde compte de
meilleur en termes de solutions de
sécurité. C’est un soutien à l’export
pour les entreprises, à qui nous
offrons une plateforme d’échange
pour montrer la pertinence de leurs
solutions.
Mais ce n’est pas seulement un
événement commercial, c’est aussi un
véritable événement d’État », souligne
le préfet. « En plus des entreprises
présentes, nous avons 19 pavillons
d’État, dont pour la première fois des
pavillons singapourien et indien, qui
marquent le renforcement de notre
coopération avec ces pays. »
En tant que Président des salons
Milipol, pourquoi est-il important
d’organiser un salon professionnel
dédié à l’industrie de la sécurité
intérieure ?
Depuis plus de 30 ans, les salons
Milipol sont une référence mondiale
dans le marché de la sécurité. Milipol
est un réseau international de salons,
le seul à être spécialisé sur la sécurité
intérieure. Le plus connu est Milipol
Paris, qui existe depuis 1984, mais
Milipol se décline aujourd’hui en trois
autres salons : Milipol Doha depuis
1996, Milipol Singapour depuis 2015,
et pour la première fois cette année,
Milipol India à New Delhi.
« Cela nous permet d’avoir une offre
française de salons professionnels sur
ces quatre grandes zones de marché,
et nous avons prévu de développer
d’autres zones de marché dans
les années qui viennent », confie le
préfet Yann Jounot, PDG de Civipol,
l’opérateur de coopération technique
internationale du ministère de
l’intérieur, qui a le contrôle majoritaire
des salons Milipol.
Les salons Milipol se focalisent sur le
marché de la sécurité intérieure, qui
est un marché international et très
concurrentiel. « À la différence du
marché de la défense, où les seuls
acheteurs sont les États, le marché

de la sécurité intérieure répond à des
besoins de protection d’acheteurs
multiples : à la fois des États pour
le soin des forces régaliennes de
sécurité, mais aussi les organisations
publiques, la sécurité privée et les
entreprises publiques et privées »,
détaille-t-il.
Le salon Milipol Paris a un
rayonnement très international,
puisque 65% des entreprises
accueillies sont étrangères, et pour
cette édition 2023, c’est même 80%
des nouveaux inscrits qui viennent de
l’étranger. « Avec le développement
de Milipol Qatar, Singapour et India,
nous avons désormais un salon tous
les 6 mois. “Chaque salon est un lieu
d’échange et de présentation des
solutions de sécurité », résume le
PDG de Civipol.
Les prochains Jeux Olympiques et
Paralympiques représentent un défi
et une opportunité pour la sécurité
intérieure en France. Pouvezvous
nous dire pourquoi de tels
événements sont si importants pour
le secteur ?
Depuis plusieurs années, le salon
inclut une partie conférence, qui a
pour but de réunir des experts français
et internationaux pour échanger sur
les enjeux de sécurité des États, dans
un contexte de mondialisation qui
nécessite de réfléchir aux sujets de
protection et d’interdépendances.
Dans le contexte de la tenue des
Jeux Olympiques en France en 2024,
le Gouvernement a souhaité que

Milipol axe ses conférences autour
de cette thématique. « La capacité
de la France à accueillir en sécurité
ce très grand événement est une
condition de son succès », souligne
le préfet Yann Jounot. « Le cycle de
conférences s’ouvrira le mardi 14
novembre 2023 avec la présence
de la Ministre des sports et des
jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques
Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, qui ouvrira la
conférence inaugurale. Nous avons
ensuite un programme d’intervenants
qui échangeront sur la préparation
et la réponse aux défis portés par
l’accueil des Jeux Olympiques, mais
aussi comment les Jeux vont-ils
être un levier de transformation sur
les organisations, les évolutions
technologiques et le cadre juridique
de leur emploi. Un tel événement
pose des questions de gestion
des flux, car indépendamment des
risques d’attaques, avoir autant de
gens au même endroit pose des
défis logistiques, de transport et de
sécurité. Nous aurons notamment
des interventions de Michel Cadot,
le délégué interministériel des Jeux
Olympiques, qui est responsable
de l’ensemble de la préparation
interministérielle, et du préfet
Stéphane Bouillon, qui est le
Secrétaire général de la défense et de
la sécurité nationale. »
Quelles sont les principales
innovations actuelles dans le

récentes. « On y retrouve des solutions
très innovantes, car les technologies
de sécurité évoluent rapidement,
notamment sur les enjeux liés au
cyber, à l’intervention des forces, ou
encore à l’intelligence artificielle »,
explique-t-il. « Nous ne sommes pas
dans des coupures technologiques
mais dans un continuum. L’intelligence
artificielle, on en parle beaucoup
aujourd’hui, mais c’était déjà présent
il y a deux ou quatre ans. Ce sont de
nouvelles applications ou systèmes
qui sont développés. » Beaucoup
d’entreprises présentes sont issues
du monde de la défense, avec une
branche dédiée à la sécurité. « Nous
avons un socle extrêmement large
de solutions de sécurité, qui inclut
très peu d’armement : moins de 10%.

destinées à protéger les systèmes
d’information »

Visitors to Milipol Paris can discover FUJIFILM’s
FUJINON SX1600 camera system for long-range
surveillance beyond 3 kilometres.
This device is equipped with
a 40x-zoom FUJINON lens,
covering a focal length range
from the wide-angle 40mm
to the 1600mm telephoto.
The SX1600 includes a newly
developed image stabilisation
system and fast, precise
autofocus, allowing users to
capture distant subjects with
clarity and instantaneity.
This camera makes it possible
to capture details such as
a car’s licence plate from a
distance of approximately
1.6 kilometres or even
observe a person standing at
approximately 3.5 kilometres
away.
The FUJINON SX1600 camera
system finds applications in
various scenarios, including
surveillance of international
borders, forests, and largescale
public facilities such
as airports, ports, and
highways. It is also ideal for the
