Unbridled, with inherent power. Temperamental, with
a gentle disposition. The vastness in view, everyday
life out of sight. The highway seems endless, with
rough asphalt, crumbling yellow markings and wafting
desert dust. Before long, the endlessness gives way to
a feeling of freedom, the sunset bathes the landscape
and your mind in a warming blanket of bliss and a
gentle breeze. The deep sound of the powerful Windsor
V8 small block engine with 250 HP has a calming effect,
turning the road trip in the Ford Mustang into a very
special moment.
Inspired by the World War II fighter plane, the P-51
Mustang, Ford developed its own Mustang in the
early 1960’s, and brought it to market in April 1964.
As a compact sports coupe, the affordable pony
car, emblazoned with the iconic galloping horse
emblem in the radiator grill, appealed primarily to a
younger clientele. To counteract the highly motorized
competition from Dodge, Pontiac and Chevrolet,
Ford made a statement in the league of powerful
muscle cars with the Mustang MACH 1. The firstgeneration
MACH 1 from 1969 was only available as
a fastback version and featured a number of visual
and performance differences to the standard model:
sports suspension, matt black racing stripes and a cowl
induction hood, chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes and
fuel filler cap, bonnet pins, front and rear spoilers as
well as a luxurious interior spurred more than 72,000
units of this model to be sold.
Legends are not born; they are shaped by time until
their moment to shape time has come. They don't live
as myth, they create it and leave behind a venerable
legacy. In 1966, the foundation stone for another icon
was laid in Detroit, Michigan. In the epicenter of the U.S.
automotive industry, numerous vehicles see the light of
day. Many of them are ordinary cars, while others are
exclusively chosen. The Camaro was originally designed
as a so-called “Pony Car,” which was intended to appeal
primarily to younger buyer groups. Compact, sporty and
affordable - the coupé was the stalwart for the semistrong.
Success was not long in coming.
From 1966 to 1969, approximately 700,000 Camaro
models with 12 different engine variants rolled off the
production line. In 1969, the last Camaro of the first
generation, the Z28, was introduced. Connoisseurs
consider this model to be one of the best of all series.
Sporty body lines and a beefy 290 HP V8 small block
engine with a Special Performance Package powered
the Camaro Z28 into the select league of muscle cars.
The motorsport DNA of the now coveted collector's item
cannot be denied either. The engine used is a toneddown
version of the successful and highly decorated
Penske Camaro from the SCAA Trans AM racing series.
Boker quotes the design of the Camaro Z28 and revives
the legend. The result is more than just a knife. An
attitude to life, the dignified road trip with the bubbling
sound of the V8 engine on the seemingly endless
highway, gentle rays of sunlight streaking across the
canyon and warming the soul. Unforgettable moments
without everyday life - just like the extraordinary Boker
1969 Z28-Damascus. In collaboration with the Italian
designer Tommaso Rumici, a unique "muscle knife"
was created that combines the distinctive character
traits of the Camaro Z28 in form and strength. The
elegant Damascus drop point blade, hand-forged by
Chad Nichols with 80 layers in the “Tread” pattern,
reminisces of the sloping cowl induction bonnet of the
muscle car. For this purpose, parts of the upper A-arm
from the Camaro were used for the blade, that opens
smoothly with the blue anodized thumb stud, while the
biting stainless steel liner lock reliably locks the blade
in place.
The aluminium handle in ”Le Mans Blue“ interprets the
lines of the body in a nostalgic way and comes up with
exciting details. The notchback, small rear spoiler and
rear quarter panel gills have been beautifully integrated
into the knife. The pivot screw is lovingly inspired by the
rims often used on muscle cars, whereas the straightlined
titanium clip, milled from the solid, is reminiscent
of the chrome-plated door handles. Delivery includes
a high quality floating display, plenty of torque and
a gentle breeze in your hair. Handmade in the Boker
Manufactory in Solingen. Blade length: 3.15". Thickness:
3.7mm. Overall length: 7.32". Weight: 3.5 oz. Blade
Over the years, the Mustang has become the epitome
of the muscle car and is now continuing its legacy in
the 7th generation. Boker quotes the unmistakable
design of the vehicle and makes the legend even more
tangible in the 1969 MACH1-Damast of the same name.
Parts of the wheel hub, wishbone and suspension were
used for the fine, 84-layer Damascus blade and forged
by hand by Chad Nichols in the Wavepool pattern. The
ball-bearing blade with its distinctive ricasso opens
smoothly by means of the removable thumb stud and
cuts with powerful torque. The ball-bearing blade with
its distinctive ricasso opens smoothly by means of the
removeable thumb stud, and cuts with confidence
thanks to powerful torque from the handle design and
the safety of a study liner lock.Finger recesses in the
handle made of lightweight, high-strength aluminum
are reminiscent of the wings of the muscle car, while
the gold-colored inlay of the front handle scale echoes
the side trim of the door and bodywork. The Silver
Jade coloring of the handle expressively underlines
the sporty look of the pocket-knife and creates a
noticeable V8 tremor in the hand. The sloping back of
the handle is nostalgically modelled on the fastback
contour of the bodywork, while the detailed blade axle
screw makes the forward drive of the wheels tangible.
Straight-lined and angular, the stainless-steel clip
milled from the solid is reminiscent of the door handles
of the Ford Mustang. Delivery includes a high-quality
floating display, an impatient hoof scraping and the
necessary portion of nonchalance. Handmade in the
