Campbell Straw Bale Built Museum – Located on Main St. in
Carthage. Welcome – A “Secret in South Dakota.” Home of the
“Only Originally” straw bale built museum in the nation. It houses
rural memorabilia and old 1800’s newspapers. Admission-free will
donations. Open Saturday-Sunday 12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and open

Rails & Relics – Rails & Relics – Period locomotives, SD history and
Native American artifacts are “all aboard” this large operating Model
Railroad exhibit. A layout depicting the topography of SD, tells the
story of how railroading impacted the untamed West in the early

Castlewood Memorial City Park – The City of Castlewood offers 12
electrical campsites featuring fire pits, picnic tables and dumping
station. Disc golf, playground, ball fields and covered picnic shelter
are adjacent. Cost is $25/night. To reserve a spot call the city office at
