Visit us in the heart of eastern South Dakota’s lake
region. Hunting and fishing opportunities abound.
While in Lake Norden be sure to visit the “Don Christman
Farm Toy Museum” and the “South Dakota Amateur
Baseball Hall of Fame.” Come see our originally furnished
1882 Kirk School, our agricultural exhibits displayed in
a pole barn , and our main museum building, with local
pictures and cultural exhibits including mill stones used
by local pioneers to grind wheat.
Lake Norden constructed a new Community Center in
2011. The building’s design accommodates both large and
small functions. Consider renting the facility for a business
or personnel event.
The Independence Day Celebration in Lake Norden
is a special time. Attend an old-fashioned community
bar-b-que on the evening of the 3rd of July, and on the
4th, watch the local baseball team play an area team.
Finish off the celebration by viewing one of the largest
displays of fireworks in the area.
