TIPS & TRICKS EUROPA-PARK
Vegetarians
In all our restaurants and snack bars we offer
vegetarian, mostly local dishes. Additionally,
in our service restaurant 'Balthasar Castle'
(Germany), you can approach the service staff for
individual requests.
Visitors with Disabilities
Attractions and Shows
Special free maps are available at the main
entrance and all information offices in the park.
Most attractions and shows have wheelchair
access. With the exception of the EP-Express,
it is however necessary to get out of the wheelchair
in order to ride attractions. For safety
reasons (regulations of the German Technical
Inspection Authority, TUV) visitors with disabilities
are not allowed to use certain attractions.
All of the shows have designated areas for
wheelchair users.
Admission Prices
People in wheelchairs and the visually impaired
have free admission to Europa-Park. On presentation
of a handicapped ID labeled ‘B’ (accompanying
person required), accompanying persons
pay the reduced admission price.
EP-Express
The EP-Express has specially designated places
for wheelchairs in the back of the train.
Information Offices
Information can be obtained from our information
office at the main entrance, at the lake, in
the Spanish themed area and at the Euro-Tower.
Parking
Designated spaces for handicapped parking can
be found at the front of the visitor car park.
Pets
Dogs are allowed in the park on a leash. Please
do NOT leave your darling animal in the car.
Dogs are not allowed on the attractions or in
the shows, shops, restaurants or bars. How you
can still use the attractions is explained in the
‘Baby switch’ section on page 124. For safety
reasons, it is not permitted to leave the dog
alone, so there is no possibility to tie up your
four-legged friend on site. Special ‘dog stations’
can be found in almost every theme area. Please
pay attention to the cleanliness in the park. If
you do not have any necessary items with you,
there are dog kits available at the main entrance.
If you do not want to take your pet to Europa-
Park, you have the possibility to hand it over at
Tom's Hundehotel in Riegel (toms-hundewelt.
de) or at the Pension Weber in Kippenheim. As
an additional service, we offer that the dogs are
also picked up directly at the main entrance of
Europa-Park by their responsible staff.
First Aid Station
The first aid station is next to the Euro-Mir
rollercoaster in the Russian themed area. Here,
trained first aiders are available during the park
opening hours.
TÜV/Maintenance
In 2003, Europa-Park was the first amusement
park in the world to obtain TÜV (German
Technical Inspection Authority) certification. The
TÜV Süd, flying structures department, checks
all of the attractions in Europa-Park every year.
They are also serviced every day by our technicians
with test runs being carried out on all
attractions before the park opens. As a certified
theme park, Europa-Park has its own safety
engineer responsible for monitoring quality and
safety requirements.
