PAUL JACKSON
Ljusdesign / Lighting design
Paul har designat ljus för de flesta av Australiens ledande scenkonstbolag och
har undervisat i design vid University of Melbourne, RMIT University och Victorian
College of the Arts. Hans arbete har presenterats på festivaler och teatrar i
USA, Asien, Europa och Storbritannien. Paul listades i australiska The Bulletin’s
Smart 100 och var Gilbert Spottiswood Churchill Fellow 2007. Han var konstnärlig
partner till Malthouse Theatre 2007-2013 och är för närvarande konstnärlig
partner till Melbourne Theatre Company. Paul tilldelades ett stipendium från
Australia Council for the Arts 2017. Han har tilldelats ett Helpmann Award, sju Green Room Awards,
två Sydney Theatre Awards, fem Australian Production Design Guild Awards och ett Critics’ Award
for Theatre i Skottland.

MARG HORWELL
Scenografi, kostymdesign / Set design, costume design
Marg är en flerfaldigt prisbelönt designer för scenkonst. Marg har bland annat
arbetat med The picture of Dorian Gray (Sydney Theatre Company/ Michael Cassel/Adam
Kenwright), The Confessions (Alexander Zeldin Company/The National
Theatre), The Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (Sydney Theatre Company),
The Dead City (Deutche Oper Am Rhein), The Happy End, Lorelei (Victorian Opera),
The Marriage of Figaro, The Human Voice och The Call (Opera Queensland),
Our Town (Theater Basel). Marg designade kostymer för The Resistible Rise of
Arturo Ui och Lord of the Flies samt skapade scenografi och kostymer för How to Rule the World och
The Lifespan of a Fact, för Sydney Theatre Company. Hon designade för Salome (English National
Opera), Avalanche (Barbican Theatre), Leviathan (Circa) och den omslutande förställningen Because
The Night (Malthouse Theatre).
För Melbourne Theatre Company har Marg designat till föreställningarna Bernhardt/Hamlet, Escaped
Alone and What If If Only, My Sister Jill, Girls And Boys, The Truth, Lilith The Jungle Girl (Mtc/Sisters
Grimm), Sexual Misconduct of The Middle Classes, Marlin, Cock, The House Of Bernarda Alba, Birdland,
Peddling, Constellations, Music.
Paul has designed lighting for most of Australia’s leading arts companies and has lectured in design
at the University of Melbourne, RMIT University and the Victorian College of the Arts. His work has
featured in festivals and programmes in the United States, Asia, Europe and the UK. Paul was listed
in The Bulletin’s Smart 100, and was the Gilbert Spottiswood Churchill Fellow for 2007. He was an
Artistic Associate at Malthouse Theatre from 2007-2013 and is presently an Artistic Associate at
Melbourne Theatre Company. Paul was awarded an Australia Council for the Arts Fellowship in 2017.
He has received a Helpmann Award, seven Green Room Awards, two Sydney Theatre Awards, five
Australian Production Design Guild Awards and a Critics’ Award for Theatre in Scotland.

Under 2017 var Marg residenskonstnär på Malthouse Theatre och har designat Revolt. She Said. Revolt
Again, The Testament Of Mary och The Real and Imagined History of The Elephant Man, Edward
II, The Good Person of Szechuan (med The National Theatre of China), Bliss, Melancholia, Blasted,
The Histrionic och Caravan för teaterkompaniet. Marg har belönats för sitt enastående arbete med
tre Sydney Theatre Awards och elva Green Room Awards.

immersive production of BECAUSE THE NIGHT (Malthouse Theatre)
For Melbourne Theatre Company Marg has designed BERNHARDT/HAMLET, ESCAPED ALONE and
WHAT IF IF ONLY, MY SISTER JILL, GIRLS AND BOYS, THE TRUTH, LILITH THE JUNGLE GIRL (MTC/
Sisters Grimm), SEXUAL MISCONDUCT OF THE MIDDLE CLASSES, MARLIN, COCK, THE HOUSE
OF BERNARDA ALBA, BIRDLAND, PEDDLING, CONSTELLATIONS, MUSIC.
In 2017, Marg was the Designer in Residence at Malthouse Theatre, and has designed REVOLT.
SHE SAID. REVOLT AGAIN, THE TESTAMENT OF MARY, and THE REAL AND IMAGINED HISTORY OF
THE ELEPHANT MAN, EDWARD II, THE GOOD PERSON OF SZECHUAN (with The National Theatre
of China), BLISS, MELANCHOLIA, BLASTED, THE HISTRIONIC and CARAVAN for the company.
Marg has been recognised for her outstanding work with three Sydney Theatre Awards and eleven
Green Room Awards.
