I'm Arsha (Harshdeep), your candidate for our first ever VP International Students! As an
international student myself, I understand your challenges and I am dedicated to making a
difference for you by working in partnership with the university and form associations with the
Welsh government. You can trust me to represent you! ☺
Enhanced Support Services: From cultural and language adjustments to financial
hardships, I understand and I will work to expand support including financial assistance
through bursaries and trusts, and targeted employability support to prepare you for your future.
Regular Free/ Affordable Meals: Struggling with cost of living crisis? Count on me to
push for regular free meals to keep you fuelled, healthy and focused!
Accommodation & Housing: Securing suitable housing can be challenging especially
being foreign. I’ll work to ensure that you have affordable, and welcoming housing options.
Representation for Undergraduates: VP Undergrads has been replaced by VP
International Students in the AGM, and I will guarantee that the concerns of undergraduate
students are not overlooked whilst ensuring to run regular drop in sessions for everyone!
Welcoming and Inclusive Campus- Through cultural exchange, diversity celebrations,
and collaborations with other sabbatical & campaign officers, I'll empower you to thrive and
feel valued during your time here.
